Based on measurements made on our experimental prototype with speed wind 7 m / s, blade length 1 m and ratio x 10, we obtained the following data:
Strong torque : 35 Nm
number of laps : 650
It means obtaining a power of 2.5 kW
Assuming that under load will have a 25% yield we get about 600 w, for these powers at 7 m/s wind speed, the current turbines have a diameter of more than 3 meters.
Furthermore commercial wind turbines ranging in speed to 11.5 m / s while our car is up to speed with wind velocity equal to 7 m/s .
These measurements were not done in a wind tunnel but they are very encouraging.
